The term of “Wellness” was first used by Halbert Dunn in his book “High Level Wellness” published in 1961. Dr. Dunn saw wellness as a life process in an effort to develop and maintain physical and psychological well-being.
According to the definition of the World Health Organization, ‘wellness’ is not just not being sick; is a state of physical, mental and social well-being.
